The video course „Eesti rahvakalendri tähtpäevi“ is intended for all those who wish to
know more about the traditions and customs of the Estonian people as well as to
improve their knowledge of Estonian language. The film consists of 14 videos in
which folk feasts and national holidays – Christmas, St. John’s Day, St. Catherine’s
Day etc are presented in an exciting manner. Each story is accompanied with an
explanatory narration in Estonian. The course can be used for independent learners
who have certain command of Estonian as well as for studies under the supervision
of a teacher.
The project is carried out in cooperation with Estonia PHARE Distance Education
Centre.
